This Fashion Friday shout out goes to Kuma Earth Friendly Eyewear – a brand I was introduced to when a friend of mine gave me a pair for my birthday back in April.
This company is rad because
-For every pair of sunglasses or eyeglasses sold, Kuma plants a tree in some of the planet’s most endangered eco-systems
-The protective bags are made of sustainable bamboo fabric (btw why don’t more companies do this?!?? The fabric is ultra soft!)
-The frames of the sunglasses are pretty much all made with sustainable bamboo
–The different designs are all really cute. I should not need to explain why this is a plus
– The pair I personally own is super light – which is necessary for me as I am prone to frequent headaches and having heavy sunglasses rest on my nose or ears almost instantly gives me a brutal headache
Kuma Eyewear partners with Trees For The Future in order to distribute the trees. There are so many reasons why it is important to plant trees, but you can easily just watch this video to learn why.
I encourage you to check out the site here. There are a range of price points that most everyone can afford, and so many designs to choose from. You can observe me modeling my green Arbutus pair, and also observe the reflection of my selfie-taking spree in my glasses in the shots below. Also my awesome headband is from American Apparel, in case you were wondering.
