When I made my where to buy fair trade coffee post, I was thinking how weird it is that the fair trade goods often get shoved into the gluten free and health food aisles, and not always placed next to the “regular” or “normal” coffee, tea, and chocolate … but later that night, I thought that it’s actually kind of amazing that your average grocer even carries these things, and carries a lot of them. Typically the products are pretty well stocked, and that means people are buying them. I think.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that mainstream grocery stores carry fair trade goods? Yeah, maybe they’ve been relegated to random aisles. That’s ok, at least the products are there for the taking – if only the gluten free people end up finding them first.
That’s all I wanted to say.
